Heather takes inspiration for her work from natural history, horticulture and from her travels. Flower paintings are usually detailed in watercolours but other media are used as the subjects demand. Paintings of landscapes, birds and pets have sometimes been commissioned artworks. Heather has recently been experimenting with different styles and using vibrant colours to make more contemporary pictures.
